The bulk of the Invincible's well-preserved fittings and stores were recovered shortly after her rediscovery in 1979 until the early 1980's. Once conserved, some were initially sold by the salvors with certificates (as with this lot) with the residue forming a sale at Christie's South Kensington in 1988.
