Adams, Mathematical Instrument Maker to His MAJESTY, Fleet Street, London, or variations thereof, the inner lid comprising 12in and 6in. sectors, a 9in. multi-purpose protractor and a scissor-type parallel rule; the upper tray with near-complete set of drawing instruments including 12¾in. compass dividers, proportional dividers, triangulation dividers etc.; the lower tray with ivory artist's palette, pen shafts and sixteen paint/ink pots, all contained within fitted green felt compartments with silver lace trim, within wooden box with lock (old wear to box, loose mouldings and lid seams) -- 14½in. (37cm.) diameter

Stored for many years; contents in fine and original condition; box requires attention as glue failing and (at time of writing) three of four lid mouldings and inlays are detached.
