The four 'Orion' Class dreadnoughts ordered under the 1909 programme represented a huge step forward in design and layout for modern battleships. Comprising H.M. Ships Conqueror, Monarch, Orion and Thunderer, all four survived the Great War and with the exception of Monarch, which was sunk as a target, were sold for breaking in 1922 and 1926.
