believed to be from an early 19th century Dutch inland freight ship, carved from limewood in the form of a bracket or hancing piece, depicting a female head and torso looking downwards, mounted on shaped boards -- 21½ x 9½in. (55 x 24cm.)
Provenance: Recovered by an amateur diver off the coast of Bermuda circa 1975
